Printmaker / Artist Jo Hollier returns to the BAC….
Well known Canberra based Printmaker / Artist returns tomorrow to open her latest body of work at the Belconnen Arts Centre, in Canberra tomorrow.
A recent residency and invitation to exhibit overseas have been the impetus for a new body of work. Any travel or ‘transfer’ to a different location is an opportunity to live and observe a different world for a time. It awakens and opens us to new culture, food, people etc. For me new colours, textures, plants and sights provide the basis for the show.
A fleeting glance or impression of something unforgettable informs the imagery in the exhibition.
The exhibition is to be held at the Belconnen Arts Centre for the period Friday September 25 – Sunday October 18, 2015.
The Official opening by, Kerry-Anne Cousins, Canberra Times visual arts writer and critic is on Friday September 25th at 5.30pm.
