Meet the Artist
We had a fantastic response to the opening of our exhibition. It was humbling to see so many people who braved the adverse conditions of rain, sleet and hail to get to the Gallery on Saturday afternoon.
Those that did make it were able to warm themselves by the amazing fires that Strathnairn are well known for particularly in the winter.
Sue Taylor opened the show with very kind words for both Cindy and me, pointing out the artworks she felt most connected to. We are overwhelmed by the positive comments regarding both our works and the curation of the exhibition. Despite the conditions, it was a wonderful afternoon, which is not hard to achieve in such a beautiful exhibiting space.

Cindy and I have received emails from disappointed folk who were unable to attend the opening due to the bad weather (unfortunately, mother nature was in a bad mood Saturday afternoon). As a result, we have decided to hold a Meet the Artists on Sunday July 28 at 2.30pm with Wine and Cheese for those who would like to know more about the exhibition and the works on show.

This will be held at the Strathnairn Arts Gallery where the exhibit is being held. Please visit www.strathnairn.com.au for more information regarding the gallery and its facilities.
For those who have not had the pleasure to visit the gallery before, the wood-fired pizzas will be available on the day, bookings for a table are advisable though, if you would like an inside table closer to the fires.
