“Process and Possibility” – an Exhibition by Printmaker, Jo Hollier
opened last weekend at the Belconnen Arts Centre, Canberra.

Large scaled wood block prints hang in the entrance to the gallery, a delightful introduction to the beautiful works that are showing now in the Gallery.
It didn’t take long before my favourite works (#7 and #21) were sold, with no wonder. Gorgeous up close, the works became more mesmorising as you gave more distance to each artwork.

This Sunday, Artist and Printmaker, Hollier, will be holding an Artist Talk at the Belconnen Arts Centre. She will bring her blocks, speak about the inks she has used in her works, the particular printmaking processes, as well as talk about the challenges associated with each printmaking medium.
Hollier will also discuss the technical information about various works on exhibit, how she built up her layers in the woodblock prints, and the practice of extrending the simple process of linoprinting.

Known for her both her art and printmaking workshops held at Studio One, Strathnairn Arts, Hollier enjoys sharing her experiences and practices with those interested in learning more. She will be happy to take questions on the day.
You can hear Hollier speak on her Radio Interview on ArtSound FM 92.7 tomorrow at 9.04am, her Artist Talk will be held at the Belconnen Arts Centre this Sunday September 8 at 3pm, All Welcome. Please visit http://www.belconnenartscentre.com.au for more information.
Many thanks to Jo Hollier for allowing the use of her images for this blog post.
