Animalia 2015 Exhibition Opening Invite
The Animalia International Print Exchange Exhibition Opening will be held at The Milk Factory Gallery in Bowral, NSW on Saturday 29 August, 2015 in The Glass Room.
The Theme of the Animalia Print Exchange Exhibition is: “Animalia” We were also asked to be liberal with your interpretation as each Artist responded to this encompassing theme.
Definition: The animal kingdom, the taxonomic kingdom comprising all living or extinct animals including: sponges, worms, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals.
All proceeds of exhibition sales are pledged to World Animal Protection.
“World Animal Protection vision: a world where animal welfare matters and animal cruelty has ended. World Animal Protection exists to tackle animal cruelty across the globe. We work directly with animals and with the people and organisations that can ensure animals are treated with respect and compassion.”
To be eligible for the Exhibition, each beautiful print must be the size of 12cm square and will be for sale at $58 each unframed. Posters featuring every entry in the 2015 Animalia Exchange will also be for sale at $30 each.
Each Artist was asked to enter an Edition of 10 prints of their work. One print is to be donated to the exhibition for sale – the proceeds pledged to WAP, Eight prints will be exchanged in which the Artist is sent a random selection in return.
One set will remain with the organisers for exhibition then to be permanently housed in the National Gallery of Australia.
