Life is so much better with Pen and Wash….

I’ve been painting a lot lately in a pen and wash style, I find it so relaxing, particularly when life gets hectic. It reminds me to take a breath.

Lately I’ve been focusing on some beautiful Daffodils for the Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea. These days it seems rare to know anyone who hasn’t known someone who has had to deal with Cancer effecting their loved ones lives. I look forward to the day that a cure is found. So, in the meantime, I will be donating a portion of the sales of my Daffodil works to the Cancer Council of Australia, in hope to support them to find such a cure.

The daffodil is such a happy flower, you can’t help feeling hopeful when you have them brightening up a room or a garden.

Hi Gale! Thank you so much – I love the ease of these types of paintings, sometimes they are modest, but often layered with colours. Its such a relaxing form of art. Your work is beautiful too – I love your dog prints – I think Benched is just stunning. Block prints are new to me and I haven’t done any linoprints since school, but am hoping to take a refresher course in September. Sometimes I love the blocks themselves as a standalone art piece! I hope you enjoy reading along with my art studio! ~ K
