The Cranleigh Capital Chemist Art Show is on again this weekend.

An annual show on Canberra’s Art Calender, it is held every October, with many artists returning from the previous year.

Cranleigh Public School is a special needs school with the motto of “Achieving potential together”. The school is located in Holt, Canberra.

Each year the school selects a specific need within the school for the children. This year the proceeds will be used to enhance the sensory environments within the school.

I will  be exhibiting two Archival Pen and Ink Wash paintings, along with two Mixed Media Monotype Artworks.

The arrival of the fresh warm temperatures that we had over the last few weeks was the inspiration for one of my entries this year, “A Spring Feeling”.

Poppies are a common theme of my works and this year is no different, this time a little colour was added.

With November just around the corner, I feel a new Flanders Poppies series coming on. It has been a while since I painted my first Flander’s Poppies, (The Remembrance Garden) and this field has reminded me just how much I loved creating them. I’ll post more on them as I begin them.

These works plus my Monotype artworks will be on show this weekend.

Please visit and support such a fantastic Art Show this weekend October 17-19.

Crystal Davis (www.azureassurances.com) and I have donated one signed copy of “Azure Assurances – A Book of Pictured Poetry”  along with a signed Limited Editioned Print of “Sunshowers” by myself to the Art Show for sale in the Silent Auction, so if you missed out, this is a great way to get your book while supporting such a fantastic School.
