New works by Jo Hollier and Barbara Dawson on show now at the BAC….
This exhibition of prints, drawings, textile and stitch explores eco dyeing and contact plant printing.

The artists combine to express the synergy between their individual methods, each demonstrating a connection with place and the environment. Wall works, artist’s books and 3D objects reflect the colours and atmosphere of the landscape.

Jo says, Eco dyeing has led us into a whole new form of expression where more environmentally sustainable methods of image making result in a magic reaction between cloth and plant or plant and paper. Subtle colours, earthy tones and plant shapes become the inspiration for further explorations through print, stitch and drawing.

The Exhibition opened last Friday 24th October at 5.30 pm at Belconnen Arts Centre, and will run until 9 November. All Welcome For more information please visit http://www.belconnenartscentre.com.au/exhibitions/clothpaperstring.html
