‘Chris the Sheep’ became an international news sensation overnight and even broke a Guinness World Record in the process! Under the guidance of RSPCA ACT veterinarians, 41.1 kilograms of wool was sheared from Chris setting a new Guinness World Record by over 12 kilograms.

RSPCA ACT Chief Executive Tammy Ven Dange provided insight, “We were overwhelmed with interest in Chris’ story over the last two years, and a few people asked if we would ever write a book. Given our bigger plans for an education program, it made sense for us to make this a children’s book. After all, what kid wouldn’t enjoy a story about a cheeky sheep and his animal mates?”

To put everyone’s mind at ease, RSPCA ACT is taking a fun approach to what Chris would have gone through while at the same time teaching children about animals in our community.

All proceeds from the sale of the book will support RSPCA ACT’s work including their new education program to be launched this financial year.
