Artist’s Statement

Cliff faces and the beach front beckon from my fondest memories. When considering why this has become so, I reflect on my connection with these amazing land forms.

Being at a precipice is akin to how I view my creative process, I tend to ponder what point is my tipping point and what does the periphery hold for the future?

Precipice

I have an affinity with the Australian landscape, I find myself with an internal narrative for each place I am drawn to. Feeling as though I am constantly on a cliff while sharing my voice through my art, I stand at the precipice in anticipation for what the future holds.

Escarpment

I am drawn to the areas of the landscape where the lands separate at different heights. Looking up through the staggered areas of rock, the new growth is a reminder that these areas that may look uncertain, however, they have enough stability to facilitate growth and hope, which reminds me to have faith in whichever area you wish to apply this philosophy to.
